Have you upgraded FSX first?

From your retail FSX Deluxe Edition disk, install your SDK to the default location

If you bought the standard version without the software development kit (SDK), you can add FSX Acceleration which also has it but you must have that kit!

Insert FSX disk 1 and escape from the default setup programme

In the SDK subfolder run setup.exe and the Microsoft Games folder might be a good place to install it

Update it with Service Pack SDK SP1A

If you have FSX Service Pack FSX SP2 update again with Service Pack SDK SP2 (sdk.msi).  This is no longer available at Microsoft but it may still be here

however if you have FSX Acceleration, Install sdk.msi from your retail disk
